Our Focus for 2022
We know what it’s like to feel pain—physical, mental, emotional, relational, and spiritual. We carry scars caused by the trials of life. It’s easy to find ourselves feeling beaten and battered by the waves of life’s storms. It’s in the aftermath of such trauma that we find ourselves craving peace, desiring release, longing for help.
There is a promise God has given to His people throughout the Scripture who endured hardships—it is the promise of healing. That promise is true for the people of God today. We call Jesus the Great Physician because He still calms the storms, He still mends the broken, and heals the afflicted. There’s healing to be found walking with Jesus.
The Shepherds would like to encourage each of us to make this year a year of healing in our hearts and our lives by drawing closer to the Great Physician—spending a year thinking and studying about the healing found in Jesus. May we be rejuvenated and restored through our year focused on our Lord.
But for you who fear my name, the sun of righteousness shall rise with healing in its wings. You shall go out leaping like calves from the stall - Malachi 4:2
But when he heard it, he said, "Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick. - Matthew 9:12
